Tesla Model Y Europe's Best-selling Passenger Car
Not the Volkswagen Golf, but the Tesla Model Y tops Europe's
best-selling car list In Europe alone, Tesla's sales of this model were 19,144
units in November, which is more than 260 percent in the same month last
year.
That's why Tesla's European total sales rose 97 percent to 31,820 units last
November.
Accomplishing this milestone, the Tesla Model Y has now even surpassed the
affordable Volkswagen Golf.
In Germany, Europe's largest car market, the Tesla Model Y was overtaken by
the Tesla Model 3 in November While 6,811 units of the Model 3 were sold that
month, the Tesla Model Y sold 3,687 units.
In Europe, Dacia Sandero was second with 18,746 unit sales in November and
Toyota Yaris was third with 17,309 unit sales.
However,
according to market research firm DataForce, the Peugeot 208 remained at the top of the European market in terms of
sales from January to November, with total sales of 193,743 units for the
year.
