At this period Bangladesh (formerly East Pakistan) was not independent country as present. The rulers of Pakistan (formerly West Pakistan) wanted to ban ‘Bengali’ for the people of Bangladesh. They also tried to convince on the condition that people of Bangladesh could use ‘Bengali’ but written in Urdu letters. So the student of Bangladesh had protested by procession on the road of Dhaka and Pakistani Police and Army fired among them. On the spot many of them injured and died.
