iPhone 15 Pro Max is Coming with Longer Battery Life
A few days ago, the iPhone 15 Pro Max leaked and it was mentioned that the
market price of this new phone will increase aggressively. But reliable
industry insider yeux1122 said on
his blog
that Apple could lower the price.
The iPhone 15 price cut may have a shockwave effect on other iPhone ranges
recently, such as the iPhone 15, iPhone 1 and even the entry-level iPhone
SE.
The changes coming to the processor of the iPhone
The processor of the 2023 iPhone is going to undergo major changes. The
adoption of 3nm processor technology is expected to make the processor size
much smaller. Compared to the A15 Bionic chip based on the previous year's
5nm process, the new A17 Bionic chip uses the new 3nm chip processor
technology to deliver 35% more efficiency and performance than the current
iPhone processor.
Apple is expected to be Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company's largest
customer of the 3nm process. Because TSMC has already started manufacturing
this nm processor technology.
Bloomberg quoted TSMC chairman Mark Liu as saying that the new process would
require 35% less energy. The newly manufactured nano chip is said to power
the upcoming M2 Pro and M2-Max chips and the A17 Bionic for the iPhone 15
Pro.
Apple recently revealed the challenges of making the A16 bionic chip for
their iPhone 14 Pro and iPhone 14 Pro-Max. Apple originally wanted to
include ray tracing for the A16 Bionic's GPU to ensure bringing realistic
lighting, shadows and effects to games, enhancing image quality.
But that venture was scrapped due to chip overheating and reduced battery
longevity. So somehow Apple included a GPU based on the A15 Bionic chip.
